Function and Structure

Dawson News delivers newspapers and magazines to circa 11,500 UK news retailers, seven days a week, 364 days a year. We have 2,450 employees who work out of 16 full branches, 9 sub-depots and the Head Office based in Croydon. These branches run a fleet of 900 vehicles, which make 5 million deliveries in a typical year, covering 18 million miles!

Dawson News has negotiated secure long-term contracts with all of the major newspaper publishers as well as the most influential magazine distributors. These contracts represent over 90% of the total Dawson News turnover.

Market Share

Dawson News is the major profit contributor in the Dawson Holdings Group with over 1 billion individual copy sales each year contributing £750 million in Retail Sales Value (RSV). This currently gives Dawson News a 20% share of the UK newspaper and magazine market; a market share which has trebled in the last decade.
